We spend one-third of our day in bed to rest our weary body every single day. And it is only right that we choose the best bed sheets and linens to protect our backs (and other parts of our body for that matter) from probable inconvenience, or worst recurring strains and tensions that can make us uncomfortable and unable to have a full 8-hour of sleep. And we very well know how impeded sleep can affect our productivity, moods, and behaviour at daytime—so it is only right that we do not hesitate to invest a reasonable amount for uality sheets and linens to make sure that our nights will be as comfortable and peaceful as they should be.
But what are the important things to consider before purchasing these bed must-haves? We have listed them for you in this article:
- Is it really About the Thread Count?:
- How About the Material?
Now this one can be tricky because this is a matter of personal preference. Choosing the best linen and sheets for you is very much like choosing the fabric of the clothes you wear everyday. If you want cotton, look for 100 percent Egyptian; for Pima or Supima cotton ( good too as it is not as expensive as the Egyptian) and has medium-to-extra long staple fibers too; linen on the other hand are good for hot climates (they can be pricey yet they can last for several years); while poly-blend sheets are soft and very much resistant to wrinkles. - Why consider the Weave:
- …other things to consider for a good night sleep
- Drink some warm milk before bedtime
- Avoid any caffeine intake when 6 p.m. strikes
- Take away all gadgets on your bed
- Do not exercise at night as this causes you to be more alert and energetic ergo, you’d find it hard to calm your body during sleep tim
- We recommend to also find some memory foam pillow that are quite easily found on several bed accessory stores in Singapore. Or better yet, once you decide to buy a bed linen online, try searching for some nice pillows too. Who knows, online stores may have special promos for buying a couple of items at once.
